Indeed, it is the only place spirit can awaken. Formlessness is not about chaos, paint flying everywhere, although sometimes that can happen, it is much more subtle. However the canvas completes itself, in the end you have mirrored back to you that safety is found in taking risks. Your paintings become seeds planted along a well worn path, every inch known by you, every painting a risk, an aliveness. A wonderful reminder that with just a little effort you are given everything.
